Privacy Policy

This page explains what SponsorRead collects, why, and what choices you have. We keep it short on purpose — if anything here isn't clear, email brandlist1@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

• Account info: your email address, and your Google name/email if you sign in with Google.
• Your activity on the site: the brands you save to your list, and your subscription status.
• Payment info: if you subscribe to Pro, Lemon Squeezy processes your card details directly — SponsorRead never sees or stores your full card number.
• Usage analytics: if you accept analytics cookies (see below), we collect anonymized/aggregated data about how visitors use the site — pages viewed, general location (country/city level), device type, and referral source.

2. Cookies

We use two kinds of cookies:

• Essential cookies — set by Supabase to keep you signed in. These are required for the site to work (you couldn't stay logged in without them) and aren't optional.
• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics, only if you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner. These help us see which pages get used and where visitors come from. They're entirely optional: clicking "Necessary only" means this script never loads and no analytics cookies are set.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.

3. How we use it

To run the service: authenticate you, remember your saved brands, manage your subscription, provide support, and — only with your consent — understand overall site usage so we can improve it. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of processors to run the service, each under their own privacy terms:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Stores your account, saved brands, and subscription status.
• Vercel — hosts the website.
• Lemon Squeezy — processes Pro subscription payments and is the merchant of record for tax purposes.
• Google Analytics — only if you've accepted analytics cookies; provides aggregated usage statistics.

We don't sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile and saved-brands list; billing records may be retained longer where we're required to by law or by our payment processor.

6. Your choices

• Decline or withdraw analytics cookies anytime via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
• Ask us to export or delete your account data by emailing brandlist1@gmail.com.
• Unsubscribe from any marketing email via the link in that email (we don't send marketing email about anything other than your own account/subscription today, but this applies if that changes).

7. Children's privacy

SponsorRead isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll post a notice on the site and update the date at the top of this page.
